THE PLAY: Total Over 6.5 (-118) B Woodruff (RHP), G Kirby (RHP) Must Start
With all due respect to the starters, this total, is pretty low. Kirby has thrived during the day but is 1-4 with with a 4.99 ERA in the evening. Last time out, he allowed four earned runs in five innings. That game finished with 22 runs, the Mariners winning 15-7. Woodruff's last start also finished with “double-digits” in runs, a 6-5 win over Washington. Still working his way back from injury and Tommy John surgery, Woodruff has still only made two starts since 2023. Both teams have been solid at the plate and Seattle ranks among the league leaders in home runs. Seattle has seen 15 of its 24 I.L. games finish above the total. Look for Monday's combined final score to also finish above the low number.
