THE PLAY: Cameron Young Top 30 (+165)
Cameron Young seems to thrive at Open Championship venues as he finished 2nd in his career debut at St. Andrews 3 years ago then turned in T8-T31 finishes leading up to this years’ rendition. Cam has put together those finishes while gaining strokes off the tee and on approach in all 3 career starts but has had issues on the greens in the most recent 2 starts. Young has done well in turning his putter around while gaining strokes to the field in 7 consecutive starts before losing .041 last week which may as well be breaking even.
On a setup that is somewhat similar to Royal Portrush and an Open Championship, Young was able to manage a T4 finish at Oakmont even with the undulation and firmness of the fairways. With the weather looming this week, Young should be able to manage that effectively as he has hit 50% of his drives on the 2025 season, “low” while working the ball with both a draw and a fade.

Working at a country club a mile east of Del Mar Racetrack, Sean was introduced to horse racing and his passion for the sport took off. The puzzle of going through past performances and replays appealed to Sean and spent his time after work listening to respected handicappers to learn as much as he could. In his first season playing the NHC Tour, he qualified for the Championship by placing 2nd in the LRF Cares contest after turning his initial $250 bankroll into $3,640.40.
