THE PLAY: Jorge Campillo Top 40 (+275)

I have run multiple models with stat categories in which I believe are important to compete at The Renaissance Club and the Scottish Open with Jorge Campillo consistently landing within the Top 10 which made me dive deeper into Jorge Campillo’s game coming into this week.

Over the last 36 rounds, Jorge has hit 70.4% of the greens and consistently gaining strokes to the field on approach while playing on the European Tour. Jorge is a solid scrambling player around the greens as well while gaining strokes to the field in scrambling in each of his last 6 starts. Campillo has made the cut in 4 of his 6 career starts in the Scottish Open while being held at The Renaissance Club and had a T26 finish last year. Jorge has a solid game that is built all around and can lean on certain aspects of his game to get out of trouble, which is important this week with danger looming around the fairways and greens.

I think this is a good spot to play Jorge at a nice number at a golf tournament in which the game is played more on the ground than the air. Jorge has experience at courses like The Renaissance Club while solely playing on the European Tour and can “hang around” while letting other players make big numbers when trying to play a hero shot.

Working at a country club a mile east of Del Mar Racetrack, Sean was introduced to horse racing and his passion for the sport took off. The puzzle of going through past performances and replays appealed to Sean and spent his time after work listening to respected handicappers to learn as much as he could. In his first season playing the NHC Tour, he qualified for the Championship by placing 2nd in the LRF Cares contest after turning his initial $250 bankroll into $3,640.40.
