THE PLAY: Chicago Sky Total Under 74.5 (-110)

This will by the Sky's first game without Courtney Vandersloot who will be out for the remainder of the season. Their offense looked completely lost without their floor general. Typically I like to back teams in their first game without a key player, but this instance is different as the Sky will be facing an undefeated Liberty team who has the #1 defense in the league allowing just over 72 points per game.

The Sky are 4-3 to their team total under this season while the Liberty have kept five of their eight opponents under their team total, including 3-1 to the team total under when playing in the Barclays Center. These two teams have faced each other once already this season and the Sky were able to score 74 points at full strength, without their point guard…points will be hard to come by. We've already seen the Liberty dominate the Connecticut Sun 100-52, so they are obviously taking the Commissioners Cup very seriously.

The Sky are outmatched on both sides of the ball and I can see the Liberty forcing a ton of turnovers as the Sky try to figure out their offense without Sloot. On the Season the Sky are averaging just over 77 points per game with a majority of that from two games against the Dallas Wings where they scored 94 and 97. When the Liberty are double digit favorites, opponents are averaging just over 69 points per game. Take the Chicago Sky team total under 74.5.
