THE PLAY: Ramiz Brahimaj -130
This is a situation both fighters were on a decline and recently bounced back. Soriano was on a 1-4 run in the UFC and since moving down in weight appears to help. While Brahimaj was on a 2-3 run and since the 2 year layoff he's return rejuvenated going 3-1. What makes this fight so intriguing is it's a wrestler vs a strong grappler. Soriano's primarily a wrestler who's needed to lean on getting the fight to the mat. Brahimaj is high level grappling with an incredible ability to sink in a choke some anywhere. Issue for Puna is Ramiz is comfortable off his back. He'd prefer any grappling exchanges because Ramiz believes in his BJJ skills. Out of his 13 MMA wins, 12 are by submission. He's very tricky on the ground with an opportunistic submission game. Now although Soriano is a wrestler... he can be taken down. Over his last 7 UFC fights he was taken down 18 times and overall struggles wrestling defensively. Off of Puna's back lacking any type of get-up's or scrambling ability and can be held down and controlled. Even when Puna secures a takedown, he lacks a submission threat. Last submission victory for Puna was back in 2018 in LFA against a 10-7 fighter. Any time it hits the floor, I highly favor Ramiz to attack subs or find top position. Striking wise, I favor Ramiz having the technical advantage. Sure, Puna might have the power but lacks a process on the feet winging big hooks. Clearly for Brahimaj we're seeing improvements and elevated confidence in his hands. More polished at range and now can tuck takedowns behind combinations. One aspect to lookout for is how Puna leaves his neck out on takedown attempts. Always in the perfect spot for Ramiz to latch something in. Worth a sprinkle to win by submission. Give me Ramiz Brahimaj to get the job done Saturday night.

Consultant Bio
Kyle Anthony graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Monmouth University. Early in his college years, he frequently visited Atlantic City casinos, which were a short 45-minute drive away. The more he visited, the further knowledge he gained with a passion for seeking a gaming edge. From there, Kyle studied the game poker, which quickly became his main source of income. He'd play roughly 7 to 8 hours a day mixed with online and poker rooms.
Kyle Anthony casually bet on NFL games on offshore sites, although he truly had a desire for combat sports. He enjoyed boxing, but as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) continued to grow, so did Kyle's attention to the sport. As the sport emerged and became more mainstream, so did Kyle's concentration on betting strategically. After following the UFC for more than a decade, he began renting VHS cassette tapes of every single UFC event. He re-watched every single UFC event and fight that ever aired to study fight outcomes, analytics, and statistical data. Using that knowledge base, Kyle became solely dedicated to the UFC with a track record of nearly 70% winning percentage with no best bets on fighters greater than -190. His focus on underdogs and value plays earned him the nickname among friends as MrUFCVegas. Kyle Anthony considers Las Vegas his second home.
After such a successful track record and providing friends and family with correct picks, they urged him to seek a career in the sports betting industry. Kyle began to display his picks on forums such as Reddit publicly and grew a following quickly. From there, he started a YouTube channel called: Kyle Anthony's UFC Betting Show, which is a growing community of UFC handicappers. Using his broadcasting skills and knowledge of the combat sport, UFC fans have gravitated to his content.
Now, Kyle Anthony, a.k.a. MrUFCvegas, has teamed up with Wagertalk to share his knowledge on the sport.
