PSG vs Bayern Munich Betting Preview

PSG vs Bayern Munich History

They meet again! PSG and Bayern Munich are getting quite familiar with one another, having already met three times since last season, including a first-round Champions League match also at Parc des Princes back on November 4 that the Bundesliga winners took by a 2-1 count, mostly against the run-of-play, and doing so down to ten men the last half of the match. Bayern Munich would grimly hold on as PSG fired 25 shots, though only João Neves was able to connect for Luis Enrique’s men.

As for other recent clashes, note PSG’s 2-0 success in the States last summer in the Club World Cup, and Bayern Munich 1-0 in November of 2024 in another Champions League first-round encounter.

PSG’s Current Form

PSG, like a year ago, waited until the campaign passed the midway point to kick-on. PSG has most definitely done that, especially in the Champions League, recently dismantling Chelsea and Liverpool in the knockout stage by a combined 12-2, and banging home goals for fun lately, even when Luis Enrique rests many first-teamers as he did on the weekend vs. Angers.

Bayern Munich’s Current Form

Much like Luis Enrique did over the weekend vs. Angers, Vincent Kompany rested many Bayern Munich regulars on Saturday, too, at least until the second half vs. Mainz, when Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Jamal Musiala all came on as subs and scored as Bayern Munich would reverse an 0-3 deficit to win 4-3, and another reminder why they’re the top-scoring team in European domestic competition with a whopping 113 (!) goals.

Though the recent matchups haven’t been quite the fireworks shows the respective artillery on each side would suggest, the fact that Kompany doesn’t appear to have any interest in Bayern playing on the back foot should invite plenty of end-to-end action.

PSG vs Bayern Munich Prediction

Luis Enrique will be glad to oblige with Bayern Munich’s preferred style of play, especially as few Ligue Un sides will challenge PSG, many instead preferring to sit in a low-block and hope to neutralize PSG firepower as best as possible.

Bayern Munich won’t do the same, and with the total posted at 3.5 goals, and the “over” very fairly priced at -110, that would be our main preference on Tuesday.

If looking for some other alternatives, both Kane at +110, and PSG’s Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé at +125, to score look enticing, as each figures to have ample opportunities.

It’s also rare to get PSG at any sort of a plus price, especailly at Parc des Princes, so the +130 or so on the win intrigues, but we’d rather simply stick to the “over” instead and take our chances with these two clearing 3.5 goals. If looking to take a flyer, perhaps consider a correct score at 2-2 that would return +900.
