Brentford at Crystal Palace | December 30 | 10:00am ET

Brentford +220 | Crystal Palace +130 | Draw +230

Brentford at Crystal Palace Premier League Prediction

Two teams currently spiraling down to the relegation zone meet on Saturday over at Selhurst Park as 14th-placed Brentford takes on 15th-placed Crystal Palace in a crucial game for both sides to avoid being sucked into that dreaded drop zone heading into the New Year.

Both sides have been in the poorest form in the league across recent weeks, with both the Bees and the Eagles registering a paltry 0.50 PPG across their last six starts, the worst return from any team in the league across last six-game sample size.

Crystal Palace can at least point to a fairly tricky schedule over that timeframe, facing Chelsea, Brighton, Manchester City, and Liverpool all in quick succession, but that won’t give them much comfort here if they slip up at home on Saturday against a team in Brentford who just got shellacked 4-1 in midweek by Wolves.

On paper, Crystal Palace have faced the tougher competition of late and are at home for this game also, but that’s not necessarily a good thing for Palace as they’ve secured just 33% of their points at Selhurst Park this season, with the Eagles tending to perform much better away from home.

Overall, this should be an incredibly tight game this weekend with so much on the line for both teams, and we’re leaning towards a close 1-1 draw as a result, the exact same result that’s happened in all of their previous three encounters also.

Premier League Prediction: Correct Score 1-1 (+500)

Arsenal at Fulham | December 31 | 9:00am ET

Arsenal -170 | Fulham +470 | Draw +330

Arsenal at Fulham Premier League Prediction

After three straight road wins to open up the new season, things have looked a lot shakier away from home for the Gunners of late, generating just two wins from their last six Premier League road starts overall.

Even the two wins they did secure across that timeframe, against Brentford and Luton respectively, certainly have their asterisks next to them as well as Brentford have been one of the worst-performing teams in the league across recent months, while Luton put three goals past Arsenal in their game, so things definitely haven’t been plain sailing for the Gunners on their travels this year.

That should be a major concern for Arsenal in this one as they face a Fulham side who have been a lot stronger at home this season, at least on paper, with their underlying numbers inside Craven Cottage being well in excess of what they’ve managed on the road this year despite what their points tally might suggest.

However, Arsenal do hold five straight wins in this venue against Fulham, winning each of the last two by comprehensive 3-0 scorelines as well, so despite all of their issues away from home this season, combined with Fulham’s seemingly strong home data, another Arsenal victory on Sunday definitely wouldn’t be a shock given the quality they have at their disposal.

We’re going with Arsenal to win this one by the minimum this weekend as we expect Fulham to give a really solid account of themselves on Sunday with Arsenal potentially squeezing out a similar one-goal win as they did against fellow south-east rivals Brentford and Luton also.

Premier League Prediction: Arsenal to Win by 1 Goal (+275)

Newcastle at Liverpool | January 1 | 3:00pm ET

Newcastle +545 | Liverpool -220 | Draw +385

Newcastle at Liverpool Premier League Prediction

Arguably the game of the week kicks off on New Year’s Day over at Anfield as Newcastle looks for revenge from these two sides’ reverse fixture back in August where Liverpool came out competitive 2-1 winners in what was an incredibly back-and-forth matchup on Tyneside.

Newcastle looked in great shape early in that game, taking the lead through a well-worked Anthony Gordon goal in the first half before Liverpool were able to rally late, scoring two goals, the last coming deep into injury time, to snatch all three points and hand the Magpies their only home loss of the season prior to their shock midweek defeat against Nottingham Forest.

Newcastle have been in some really poor form of late, losing four of their last five Premier League games outright, getting dumped out of Europe by AC Milan, and exiting the League Cup also through a penalty shootout loss against Chelsea in what’s been an incredibly rough stretch of games for Eddie Howe’s men across recent weeks.

That won’t get any easier here on Monday either against an absolute juggernaut at home this year in Liverpool, a team that boasts by far the best expected goals differential in the league at home this season, as well as the #1 defense in goals allowed also (tied with Aston Villa).

On the flip side, only three teams have shipped more goals away from home since November 1st than Newcastle have, and given Liverpool’s extremely potent attack, plus the fact Newcastle are more than capable of scoring themselves in this one, netting at least one goal in each of their last four visits to Anfield, we’re expecting the Reds to prove too strong in what should be a goal heavy game in the northwest of England on Monday.

Premier League Prediction: Liverpool & Over 2.5 (-110)
