The team with the lowest goals ratio across 2025, Leicester City, head down to the south coast on Sunday to try and end what has been a majorly disappointing season on a positive note.

The Foxes have averaged just 0.61 goals per game this calendar year, by a substantial margin the lowest return in the league overall, although Leicester have at least turned a bit of a corner of late, winning two of their last three games in the league.

Bournemouth meanwhile just recently slipped out of the top half of the table after a fantastic opening to the season, one which saw the Cherries sit 7th in the table at the end of 2024.

Back-to-back losses in the league however have seen Bournemouth slip across recent weeks, although to be fair, facing both Aston Villa and Manchester City in quick succession was always likely to be an uphill battle.

Leicester have been particularly vulnerable from open play situations away from home this season, allowing a massive 31 goals from open play across the opening 37 games, a huge number considering even bottom-of-the table Southampton have only allowed 26.

In terms of first-half data specifically though, Bournemouth own the league’s 6th best clean sheet percentage inside the first-half at home this season, while Leicester’s low 22% clean sheet percentage on the road ranks as the league’s lowest overall.

The Cherries should be able to bounce back with a final victory at home this weekend in front of their home fans, something that likely starts early against Leicester City on Sunday.

A huge final weekend awaits in the Premier League as just three points currently separate 3rd to 7th spots in the table, with Newcastle firmly in that mix in 4th spot.

A 1-0 loss against Arsenal last weekend scuppered a chance for the Magpies to breathe a little easier ahead of the final matchday, so they should be extra motivated in this one to get the job done at home on Sunday.

A fantastic Declan Rice volley was enough to down Newcastle in that game in a match Newcastle honestly deserved more from, having some great chances that they simply couldn’t convert.

Everton meanwhile, after a terrible run of form across most of March and April, have finally put back-to-back wins together for the first time since early February.

The Toffees overcame bottom-of-the-table Southampton last weekend in what was a comfortable 2-0 win, a victory Everton had sewn up by half time by scoring two first-half goals.

Newcastle, however, are a completely different proposition, especially at home, where the Magpies have won three of their last four head-to-head meetings against Everton at this venue, with the fourth, their previous meeting in April of last year, seeing the Magpies leading at the break.

That’s the route we’re going down once again here on Sunday, as Newcastle have been one of the league’s best half time teams this season, ranking 2nd behind only Arsenal in overall home form, with the Magpies low 17% failure to score ratio inside the first-half also ranking 2nd closely behind Manchester City.

We’re going to take a focused Newcastle team this weekend to grab the early lead against Everton at home.

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace | May 25 | 11:00 AM ET

Liverpool -255 | Crystal Palace +555 | Draw +470

Champions Liverpool will look to crown Arne Slot’s first season in charge at the club by securing a final win at home against Crystal Palace on Sunday, a team that famously beat them in this venue back in April of last year.

Liverpool look to have all but given up the ghost after claiming the title however, currently on a winless run of three straight games in the league, all three of which saw the Reds give up multiple goals in as well.

Crystal Palace meanwhile are on cloud-nine after claiming their first FA Cup trophy ever last weekend, indeed their first major trophy across any competition, as they overcame Manchester City 1-0 at Wembley thanks to a first-half Eberechi Eze goal.

That success has been an ongoing trend for Crystal Palace recently also, as the Eagles are now unbeaten in any competition in well over a month, a run of seven straight games, as well as holding three of their last five opponents scoreless also.

Despite their recent struggles, Liverpool have been very consistent at home this season, especially in the first-half of games, allowing a measly average of just 0.28 goals per game inside those home first-halves this year.

Crystal Palace have also been watertight at the back in road first-halves this season, ranking joint-1st in the league in clean sheet percentage away from home.

Given the stats ahead of this one, the first-half Under looks very appealing this weekend between Crystal Palace and Liverpool, in a game we expect to start slow on Sunday.
