Week 15 NFL Betting Leans

Remember, these are not official plays, but just some helpful insight from one of the best NFL handicappers on the planet.

Minnesota -3.5 vs Indianapolis – Given the venue and how bad the Colts have been, this line seems low. The Vikings score 24 points per game while the Colts average just 12.7 pointer per game on the road, which is the worst mark in the NFL.

While I think that the line is fair, I’m generally not keen on going against a team that just gave up more than 50 points on national TV like the Colts did two weeks ago. That often tends to lead to a better effort next time out. I’ll pass.

Cleveland vs Baltimore Over 38 – This is the lowest total on Saturday’s board. I looked at the past ten games between these teams and this is also by far the lowest total in this matchup. While I’m aware that both teams have been involved in some recent ‘unders,’ I believe it’ll prove to be too low.

The earlier meeting in Baltimore finished with 43 points. The last meeting here in Cleveland produced 46 points. If the number falls to 37, I’ll very likely be pulling the trigger.

Denver -1.5 vs Arizona – It sounds funny, but I would have probably preferred the Broncos more if Kyler Murray hadn’t gotten hurt last week. Colt McCoy has actually been pretty solid during his appearances this season.

The Russell Wilson experiment in Denver has been a mess this season, but I still think the Cardinals are in bigger trouble. Brett Rypien will be getting the start for Denver, and I’m not excited to jump into a battle of backup quarterbacks. But in terms of overall team outlook, Arizona looks like a sinking ship.

Week 15 NFL Betting Trends

Courtesy of The Football GoldSheet:

  • The under is 14-4 in the Colts’ last 18 games.
  • Miami is 1-9 straight-up and 2-8 against the spread in its last ten trips to Buffalo.
  • Philadelphia is 6-0 straight-up on the road this season, but just 2-4 against the spread.
  • Detroit is 6-0-1 against the spread in its last seven games.
  • Arizona is 11-3 against the spread in its last 14 regular season road games.
  • Tennessee is 10-6 against the spread as a road ‘dog since 2019.
  • Dating back to the end of last season, the Bengals have covered the spread in 18 of their last 21 games.
