Thursday Night Football Prop Prediction 1: Daniel Jones Over 39.5 Yards Rushing (-113)

Daniel Jones could be on the run tonight facing a daunting 49ers defense as the Giants will be without starting running back Saquon Barkley tonight.

We’re going with Jones to go up and over 39.5 yards rushing which is something he’s done in the first two games of this season.

The pass rush could be getting to Jones early in various plays forcing him out of the pocket and using his legs to pick up a first down for the Giants.

He averaged over 44 yards rushing per game last season on 5.9 yards per carry meaning Jones should need just 7-8 carries to break this number tonight in Santa Clara.

Matt Breida will get the start at running back for the Giants but there doesn’t seem to be much optimism that he can get past this top tier defense with his rushing number only listed at 31.5.

We’re anticipating the Giants will be down more than not in this game which will let passing plays develop and when Jones can’t find an open receiver, he will not shy away from using his legs. Take him to get over 39.5 rushing yards tonight against the 49ers.

Thursday Night Football Prop Prediction 2: Deebo Samuel Over 4.5 Receptions (-118)

49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk heads into tonight’s game as questionable and at the very least his availability could be limited which could benefit teammate Deebo Samuel.

Samuel’s reception number is set at 4.5 in which he’s passed in both games this season and seven in 2022. Samuel leads the team in targets so far this season with 16 and Aiyuk coming in second with 14.

Sure the 49ers will lean on their run game with Christian McCaffery but when Brock Purdy does go to pass one of his first looks will be Samuel.

We can’t really take much from the Giants defense in the first game against the Cowboys as the offense allowed two defensive touchdowns and we’re out of it early, but in their second game against the Cardinals, they allowed #1 receiver Marquise Brown to haul in six catches.

Look for Samuel to be the lead WR tonight against the Giants especially if Aiyuk is limited in any capacity, getting up and over 4.5 catches.
