Steelers vs Raiders Player Prop Pick 1: Jimmy Garoppolo UNDER 238.5 Passing Yards

Opposing quarterbacks have thrown for 220 and 22 against Pittsburgh, and to the surprise of many the Steelers have given up the most yards rushing in the league at 386 through two games.

The Raiders surely have noticed that and will use Josh Jacobs on the ground to exploit the rush defense of the Steelers, and that should make for fewer passing yards for Jimmy G who has passed for 185 against Buffalo and 200 against Denver.

Even in the blowout loss to Buffalo where the game script would suggest he threw the ball a lot, he was 16-24 for 185 yards, and if you’re looking for another prop for Jimmy G, look at his interception prop as he threw two against Denver and one against Buffalo.

Steelers vs Raiders Player Prediction Pick 2: Kenny Pickett UNDER 12.5 Rushing Yards

Kenny Pickett has not rushed the ball much through two games as he’s credited with 5 rushes for -2 yards. He had some kneel downs against Cleveland, but against San Francisco he had one rush for four yards.

This trend of him not running goes back to the last part of last season as he had 10 or more rushing yards in the first 10 games of the season, but finished with 9 yards, 2 yards and 1 yard rushing.

So this is now five games in a row where he’s gone under this 12.5 rushing total. Quarterbacks haven’t rushed against Las Vegas as Russell Wilson rushed for one yard in week one, and Josh Allen only rushed for seven yards in week two. This number seems too high, so I’ll gladly take the under.

Steelers vs Raiders Prop Pick 3: Raiders Team Total UNDER 22.5

The Raiders have scored 17 and 20 points this season, and it took me a while to figure out what the reasoning is.

They are 9th in the league in yards per play, Jimmy Garoppolo has yet to be sacked this year, and they get 4.9 yards per carry, which is 6th best in the league. The reason they aren’t scoring is they don’t have the ball much.

They have the second worst time of possession this year with 23:45 average per game, and they run the fewest offensive plays per game by far.

The Raiders average 47 offensive plays per game, and to put that in perspective, the team that runs the most plays is the Rams who run 78 plays per game.

The Steelers are actually tied with the Raiders for second worst time of possession, but they have played two of the top five defenses in the league.

I expect the Raiders to have few opportunities to score, and it’s asking a lot for them to get three TD’s plus a field goal to get over this number.
