Philadelphia Eagles vs San Francisco 49ers Betting Analysis
The second-seeded San Francisco 49ers travel to Philadelphia to face the first-seeded Eagles in the NFC Championship on Sunday afternoon.
The Eagles crushed the New York Giants 38-7 last Saturday in the divisional round after their bye week. The 49ers prevailed in a 19-12 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
These teams didn’t face off this season but San Francisco won 17-11 in Philadelphia during Week 2 of the 2021-22 campaign. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 PM EST/12:00 PST from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.

The San Francisco 49ers are the hottest team in the NFL with 12 straight wins despite losing two starting quarterbacks to injury during the regular season.
The 49ers will be looking to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl for the second time in the past four seasons.
Brock Purdy is undefeated in seven career starts and has become the third rookie in the league to win his first two post-season starts.
Mr. Irrelevant has thrown for 546 yards with three touchdowns and zero interceptions in his two playoff starts. The defense stepped up against Dallas and held them to only 12 points while forcing two Dak Prescott interceptions.
Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell combined for 86 rushing yards on 24 carries while George Kittle was the leading receiver with 95 yards on five receptions.
The San Francisco defense was #1 in total defense and scoring with only 300.6 yards and 16.3 points allowed per game.
While expected to play, Christian McCaffrey (calf), Deebo Samuel (ankle) and Elijah Mitchell (groin) are all listed as questionable for this contest.
Hurts The Competition
The Philadelphia Eagles finished the regular season as the #1 seed in the NFC with a 14-3 record. They only lost one game without quarterback Jalen Hurts at the helm as he missed the losses to Dallas and New Orleans with a shoulder injury.
The bye week gave Hurts the opportunity to get healthy lead Philadelphia to a dominant 38-7 victory over the New York Giants.
Hurts threw for 154 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions while also scoring on the ground while running for 34 yards.
Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell combined for 202 rushing yards while DeVonte Smith was the teams leading receiver with 6 receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles pulled off the 3-0 sweep over New York on the season.
The Eagles were #2 ranked defense with 301.5 yards allowed per game while sitting at 8th in defensive scoring with 20.2 points allowed per game. Offensive tackle Lane Johnson and cornerback Avonte Maddox are both listed as questionable for this contest due to injury.
Philadelphia Eagles vs San Francisco 49ers Prediction
The Philadelphia Eagles are 2.5 point home favorites with a total set at 46.5. This one will be well worth the price of admission as the two top rated defenses go head-to-head for the right to play in the Super Bowl.
The 49ers haven’t lost since a 44-23 game against the Kansas City Chiefs back on October 23rd. However I do have some concerns where San Francisco is concerned. First and foremost they have a rookie quarterback making his first playoff start on the road.
Both Niners running backs are banged up as well and they struggled to get going against Dallas last week.
The San Francisco defense also got exposed by the physicality of Seattle receiver DK Metcalf two weeks ago and AJ Brown & DeVonte Smith had to take notice.
Hurts is fully confident after coming off his best performance of the season. The 49ers also have to travel cross-country to play in a hostile environment with cold conditions.
I will gladly roll with Eagles to cover the 2.5 point spread and soar into the Super Bowl.
