Super Bowl LVIII Kicker Prop Prediction #1

Team to kick longest field goal: Kansas City Chiefs (-110) DK 

The Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is one of the NFLs elite kickers as he made 40 of his 42 kicks this season including a perfect 8-8 from 40-49 yards and 6-6 from 50-plus yards. Butker is no stranger to the pressure of big games as he’s a perfect 7-7 thus far in the postseason including a 52-yard bomb in the AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens.

San Francisco 49ers kicker Jake Moody is a rookie, and his 80% success rate ranks outside the top-25 in the league. This will obviously be Moody’s first Super Bowl; he’s hit only 7-13 kicks from 40+ yards and he has only on attempt of 50+ yards since Week 8. Butker is very familiar with this venue as he’s played each year during the last four seasons.

The Chiefs trust Butker more from long distance and he has 18 games of playoff experience with an 87.5% success rate. The 49ers have a stout defense that could easily put the Chiefs in a long-distance kicking situation, and I trust Butker much more than Moody. 

Super Bowl LVIII Kicker Prop Prediction #2

Kansas City Chiefs Longest Punt Over 56.5 Yards (-130) DK 

Let’s stick with Kansas City Chiefs kicking props but this time we will be looking at the punter Tommy Townsend. His over/under for longest punt is set at 56.5 and he has fallen short in all three of his postseason games.

However, all three of those games were played outdoors in less than favorable conditions. This game is guaranteed to have perfect conditions as it will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Vegas. Townsend did clear this mark in six of his final seven regular season games and 11 of his 17 games overall.

The San Francisco 49ers have a stingy defense that may give Townsend more opportunities than usual. Look for Townsend to drop a bomb on the 49ers if given the chance while eclipsing this total in the process.
