Buffalo lost last week, and the Raiders won, but Las Vegas is now almost a double-digit favorite in Week Two. Las Vegas is 6-4 straight up and 7-3 ATS in their last ten meetings against the Bills.

Las Vegas is 6-3 ATS in their last nine games, and the total has gone under in 5 of Las Vegas’ last seven games.

Buffalo is just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games, but they are 8-2 straight up in their last ten. The total has gone over in 9 of Buffalo’s last ten games when playing at home against Las Vegas.

The Raiders started their season going into Denver and getting the win as an underdog. Las Vegas and Denver played a close game in score and stats.

The Raiders outgained Denver by one yard, both teams had ten penalties, both teams were 5-11 on third down, and the difference was the Broncos missed an extra point in the first quarter.

Denver led 16-10 with 8:54 to go, but the Raiders, who have owned the Broncos, ended up scoring and winning.

On the other hand, the Bills had as disappointing an opening night as you could imagine. They played against Zach Wilson for the entire night, and they were incapable of stopping him.

It did not help that Josh Allen turned the ball over four times. He threw three picks and had a fumble, and when Allen did not lead a scoring drive in overtime, the Bills hope of winning the game was over.

How does Buffalo recover? They opened as nine-point favorites, so the market and our power ratings did not lose any respect for Buffalo after that gut-wrenching loss.

This also signifies that despite the Raiders’ Week One win, the market does not anticipate this team actually being able to compete with top-tier opponents – and it is not hard to see why.

Outside of Allen’s turnovers, Buffalo looked great, and nine points is a lot and may be too many to cover, but the Bills should not be on upset alert this week.
