NFL Week 18 First Touchdown Props Prediction: Bucky Irving, Buccaneers (+900)

Bucky Irving has failed to score in three straight games, but it hasn’t been due to lack of volume as he’s averaged 16.7 touches per game during that span of time.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense has struggled overall but they have scored first in three straight games while scoring on their first possession in 3 of their last 4 games.

The Panthers have only struck first 7 times this season while the Bucs have scored first 9 times including a Mike Evans touchdown in their Week 16 divisional clash.

However, the Panthers are tied for the 8th fewest wide receivers TDs while sitting tied for the 3rd most running back rushing TDs allowed.

Tampa Bay only scored twice in their first game against Carolina but both scores occurred on their first possession of the half so their scripted drives and adjustments both worked.

Irving logged five carries on the Bucs first drive to Sean Tuckers one and he finished the game with 19 carries for 71 yards.

This is basically a playoff game so the Buccaneers should continue to see heavy workload and potentially register his 2nd first touchdown of the season.

NFL Week 18 First Touchdown Props Prediction: Derrick Henry, Ravens (+400)

Lamar Jackson is set to return from injury, but the Baltimore Ravens know their best chance at victory is riding their super star running back Derrick Henry and he’s coming off a historic effort where he ran the ball 36 times for 216 yards and four touchdowns.

King Henry is in a 3-man log jam with Kyren Williams & De’Von Achane for most first touchdowns (4) and he’s scored his team’s first TD in 5 of their last 7 games.

These teams are relatively equal in scoring first on the season, but Baltimore has struck first in three straight games while the Pittsburgh never scored last week in Cleveland.

Henry didn’t score in the first head-to-head matchup back in early December, but he ran the ball 25 times for 94 yards.

DK Metcalf recorded a massive effort in that game with 7 receptions for 148 yards, but he won’t factor into this contest due to a suspension after an altercation with a fan.

The Ravens force fed Henry early in last week’s game against Green Bay and they finished the game with a 41-24 victory. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
