Utah Jazz vs Chicago Bulls Analysis
Utah will host the Bulls as Zach Lavine’s injury status has just been moved to probable, so expect him to play tonight. The Jazz are -6 across the board now with a total of 224.
Both teams have aspirations of a deep playoff run, but neither team is playing their best ball right now so the winner will feel a nice boost tonight while the loser will continue their slide, We’ll dive in and see if there’s a play to be made on this game.
Not Bullish on the Bulls
The Bulls have lost six out of eight games, and Caruso returned to the lineup against Cleveland and they got the win and held Cleveland to 91 points so it appeared their defense had returned, but on Monday they lost to Sacramento in a game they trailed the whole game.
Lavine is nursing a knee injury and Vucevic is nursing Toe/Foot issues so the wear of the season might be showing up here.
They are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games, and a surprising 0-5 O/U as it appears their offense is losing steam. It’s not a team I want to back right now.
Jazz Alternating Wins
W L W L W L W L….That’s how the last eight Jazz games have gone. They are 2-7-1 ATS their last 10, and it’s also telling that their four wins in that stretch were against Houston, OKC, Portland and Sacramento…four teams who will have high draft picks.
Their losses are to Milwaukee, San Antonio, Dallas and New Orleans, so they haven’t been beating good teams recently. An interesting matchup tonight will be how Royce O’Neale is able to defend DeRozan.
DeRozan has had over 30 points one time in the last 7 games, and if O’Neale can slow him down that will be a huge advantage for Utah tonight.
Utah Jazz vs Chicago Bulls Prediction
I’m going with the under in this one as both teams have trended to the under recently. The Bulls have hit the under in five straight games while the Jazz have hit it in four out of five.
I think this game is close, and Utah games against playoff caliber opponents have tended to be lower scoring.
Prediction: Under 224
