Toronto Raptors vs Milwaukee Bucks Predictions

  • Milwaukee Bucks -4 at Toronto Raptors
  • Total: 215 Points
  • The under is 7-1 in the last eight meetings between these two teams.
  • Toronto is 1-9 against the spread in their last ten home games.

The Raptors are reeling and the Bucks are surging…that’s the story with this game. Toronto has lost three straight and they’ve lost seven out of nine with one win being against the sinking Kings and the other win against Memphis. They just don’t have a true star on this team that strikes fear in the other team and they’re going up against the Bucks who are winners of eight straight now after their win in the crazy game against Charlotte that ended 127-125.

Giannis is starting to emerge as the best player in the league this season as he’s averaging almost 30 points the last four wins, and it’s gotta be scary if you’re Toronto as you’ve just lost to the Pacers, Celtics and Grizzlies with no Morant. One thing they do have going for them is rest. They have a day off and Milwaukee is coming off a game with a ton of points and a ton of energy used up. Is that going to be enough?

There’s no beating around the bush with this play. The line is -3.5/-4 for the Bucks, and I couldn’t be more excited to lay the points. They didn’t cover the spread tonight against Charlotte, but Charlotte’s insane pace and shot attempts kept them in this game. They shot 41.2% from three pointers, 85.7% from the free throw line, and still lost.

This now makes the streak 145 days since Milwaukee lost a game where Holiday, Middleton and Giannis started. Holiday and Middleton seem 100% after their absences, and I don’t believe Giannis will sit this game so I’m happy to lay a low number.

Siakam and Achiuwa can be athletic, but I don’t see how they slow down the Giannis-Middleton combo, and Holiday is going to be all over VanVleet to disrupt the offense. Toronto is 1-9 ATS at home and 0-3 against the spread in their last three. My only piece of advice here is to verify the lineups for Milwaukee tomorrow before laying the bet in case they are missing a big three member. If they are, I might look for value in another game, but if Milwaukee is ready to roll, look for them to continue their winning streak.

OFFICIAL PLAY: Bucks -4

Toronto Raptors vs Milwaukee Bucks Analysis from The GoldSheet

Milwaukee started last night’s match with Charlotte in a somnambulant state, falling behind by 18 early in the second quarter before HC Mike Budenholzer informed them the game had started. The contest was tight down the stretch, as the Bucks’ defense was beaten from the perimeter (yielded 21 treys; made only 14), with Hornet PG Lonzo Ball had 36 pts. and 9 assists.

Toronto just hasn’t been covering many games, posting a 3-10 spread mark over the last month, ranking 25th in the league in net ratio in that period, as well as ranking last in defensive efficiency in the past 13 games. Look for Coach Bud to emphasize a faster start in this one, facilitating what would be their 9th cover in the last 13 trips to Scotiabank Arena. Note the under is 7-1 last 8 overall in this series and the Bucks are 13-6 under last 19, but over in their last 3. Play Milwaukee.
