Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets Analysis
The Brooklyn Nets travel to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia for an Eastern Conference showdown with the 76ers. The Nets are coming off a 132-121 victory in a shootout against the Charlotte Hornets. The 76ers took home a commanding 121-106 triumph over the Chicago Bulls in their last contest.
The Nets have won two of three head-to-head meetings this season. However all three games were played in or before December so it is almost a different season at this point. There will plenty of eyeballs on this one based on the underlying storyline after the major trade between these two teams. This game is loaded with superstars making it fun as a viewer and a prop bettor.
Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets Team Totals
The Philadelphia 76ers are favored by 4.5 points with a total of 234.5 points, setting the Nets’ team total at 115.5 and the 76ers’ at 119.5. This game should be high scoring based on both teams favoring offense as opposed to defense.
The Nets rank 22nd in points allowed with 112 points allowed per game to their opponents. The 76ers play at the 3rd slowest pace on the season, but that has changed with the addition of James Harden. The 76ers have scored 121 points or more in all five games with James Harden on the floor, while scoring only 82 in the one game he sat for rest.
The Nets have struggled to contain opposing big men, while the addition of Andre Drummond will help you can’t expect him to shutdown Joel Embiid. Let’s face it, James Harden is going to be out for blood against his former team.
I’m fully expecting both teams to try and win this game with scoring. The 76ers haven’t scored under 120 with Harden on the court and there is no reason to think that changes tonight.

Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets Player Props
There are so many different angles you could take with so much talent on the floor. Joel Embiid should be able to do as he pleases but has a high point total of 31.5. Tyrese Maxey is coming off a down game but still managed to hit two three-pointers, as he has in every game with James Harden. His three-point line is set at 1.5 with heavy juice, so we will save that for the same game parlay. I’m expecting a huge game from James Harden, his point line seems a bit low at 24.5 but he may favor exposing his former team as a distributor.
Kevin Durant was quite in his last game with only 14 points, allowing Kyrie Irving to go off for 50. I’m expecting Durant to be looking to show out tonight. He scored 29, 33, 34 in three games against the 76ers this season. While all those games were months ago, he will face a similar defender. Kevin Durant over 29.5 points is a strong play in this one.

Kevin Durant scoring 20+ points will be the first leg of our same game parlay today. We mentioned Maxey hitting at least two three-pointers in every game with James Harden, even when his scoring is down. Maxey over 1.5 from beyond the arc will be our second leg. James Harden is going to stack statistics in all three categories tonight and his numbers are set accordingly. His points + rebounds + assists is set at 43.5 which is a lot to ask, but 35 or more is doable. We will add Harden over 34.5 PRA as our third and final leg for even money at +100.
