NBA Player Props Best Bet #1: Jalen Duren (DET) Under 34.5 Points + Rebounds (-118)

With the Pistons win on Saturday they were able to lockup the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference as they head to Orlando to take on a Magic team that still has a slim chance to win the Southeast Division.

Detroit doesn’t have much else to gain before the playoffs start and we’ll look for Jalen Duren to go under 34.5 points + rebounds tonight.

Now don’t get us wrong, Duren has been the engine to this Pistons team without Cade Cunningham averaging 33.6 points + rebounds across his last six games, but the Magic are stout against centers allowing the second fewest points and seventh fewest rebounds per game to the position this season.

In three head-to-head matchups with Orlando this season Duren has averaged 29.4 points + rebounds per game and we wouldn’t be surprised if Duren sees less than 30 minutes of action, playing in just 30 minutes on Saturday putting up just 23 points + rebounds against the 76ers.

In an attempt to preserve health for the playoffs, let’s take Duren under 34.5 points + rebounds tonight who could see less floor time than usual against a team that doesn’t allow centers to be that effective game-to-game.

NBA Player Props Best Bet #2: Donovan Mitchell (CLE) Over 25.5 Points (+100)

Although the Cavaliers won’t win the Central Division this season, they still have a shot to capture the #3 seed in the Eastern Conference as they play the second leg of a back-to-back in Memphis tonight.

Cleveland played without a slew of players last night including Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, Sam Merrill, Dean Wade and Jaylon Tyson.

Sure, a few of those names or more could possibly return tonight but we’re taking Donovan Mitchell to go over 25.5 points anyway.

It was a much tighter game than the Cavaliers were anticipating yesterday only defeating the Pacers 117-108 at home with Mitchell pouring in 38 points on 16-27 shooting.

Now he gets to face a Memphis team that has given up the second most points per game to shooting guards over the last 15 days with both teams running at a top 10 pace over their last 10 games.

The Grizzlies are also playing the second of a back-to-back tonight which could mean tired legs for a lineup that is essentially filled with G-League players at this point of the season.

The first time these two went head-to-head was way back on November 15th, but Mitchell still scored 30 points on 10-21 shooting.

After last night’s close call, let’s look for Mitchell to be a pivotal scoring threat for the Cavaliers once again going over 25.5 points at Memphis on Monday night.
