NBA Player Props Best Bet #1: Ausar Thompson (DET) Over 7.5 Rebounds (-105)

Detroit did their part at home in Game 5 to extend the series as the Pistons and Magic will go at it in Game 6 with Orlando having a shot to close the series out at home.

We’re going to take Ausar Thompson over 7.5 rebounds tonight going over this number in four straight and averaging 9.4 rebounds per game this series.

He had his way on the glass last game hauling in 15 rebounds and averaging eight rebounds per game in four head-to-head matchups with Orlando this regular season.

It’s worth noting that Franz Wagner will miss this game which takes away a bigger body from the Orlando starting lineup with the team starting a smaller Jamal Cain in his place.

If you watched Game 5 you noticed that Wendell Carter Jr. had a tougher time getting to the glass with more emphasis put on Jalen Duren to box him out accordingly which leads to easier rebounding opportunities for Thompson if both Carter Jr. and Duren are busy tussling with one another.

Thompson played in 36 minutes last game and per 40 minutes this season averages 8.8 rebounds so let’s take him to be a force on the glass on both ends of the court tonight going over 7.5 rebounds in another must-win game for Detroit.

NBA Player Props Best Bet #2: Alperen Sengun (HOU) Over 15.5 Rebounds + Assists (+105)

After winning the first three games of the series, the Lakers have dropped back-to-back games as they’ll get a third crack to close the Rockets out in Houston for Game 6 tonight.

Momentum is in Houston’s favor as we’ll look for center Alperen Sengun to go over 15.5 rebounds + assists notching 17 in their 99-93 Game 5 win.

He’s averaging 15.4 rebounds + assists per game in the series but if you take out the Game 4 blowout in which he only played 33 minutes he’s averaging 17.2 per game. Sengun has played 38.8 minutes per game this series and on the season averages 18.1 rebounds + assists per 40 minutes.

Without a true point guard, it may be best for the Rockets to let the offense flow through Sengun rather than using Amen Thompson who will likely have Marcus Smart shadowing him once again.

With their season on the line tonight again, let’s look for Sengun to be the catalyst on both ends of the floor for Houston going over 15.5 rebounds + assists in Game 6 at home.
