NBA Player Props Best Bet #1: Egor Demin (BKN) Over 13.5 Points + Assists (+100)

At the time of this writing we’re looking at even money for Nets shooting guard Egor Demin to go over 13.5 points + assists as the Nets battle the Magic in Orlando.

Demin has gone over this number in three of his last five games averaging 16.2 points + assists across his last five with Orlando allowing the third most points and seventh most assists to shooting guards over the last seven days.

In January Demin averaged 16 points + assists per game and in two head-to-head meetings with Orlando this season averaging 16.5 points + assists.

Now don’t get us wrong, we know the Nets are not good this season sitting second to last in offensive efficiency but aside from Michael Porter Jr. this team doesn’t have a consistent secondary threat on offense especially when you consider Cam Thomas has already been ruled out for this game.

In his last five games without Thomas, Demin has averaged 17.8 points + assists per game. Orlando runs at a much faster pace than Brooklyn so some extra possessions should be had by the Nets tonight as well.

So, let’s take the rookie Demin to go over 13.5 points + assists as the Nets offense looks to get back on track in Orlando tonight.

NBA Player Props Best Bet #2: Jalen Johnson (ATL) Over 32.5 Points + Assists (-120)

First time NBA all-star Jalen Johnson goes for his third straight triple double tonight as the Hawks host a Jazz team that’s been active with trading before the deadline and could still be active today before tipoff of this game.

We’re going to take Johnson to go over 32.5 points + assists with the Jazz allowing the most points and third most assists to opposing power forwards over the last 15 days.

Utah’s defense has been abysmal for most of the season ranking dead last in defensive efficiency and allowing the most assists per game of any team in the NBA.

It’s also worth noting that the Jazz allow the third most free throw attempts per game which Johnson can take advantage of attempting around six per game.

In their first head-to-head meeting in Utah back on November 13 Johnson went off against the Jazz compiling 31 points and 14 assists on 10-19 shooting and 7-11 at the free throw line in a 132-122 win.

The Hawks power forward hasn’t taken his foot off the gas since so let’s take Johnson to be the focal point of the Hawks offense tonight going over 32.5 points + assists against the Jazz playing their third straight road game in the last five days.
