NBA Player Prop for Friday, October 31
Devin Booker (PHX) Over 2.5 Made Three-Pointers vs Utah (-145)
The Jazz and the Suns met just four days ago in a thrilling 138-134 clash in Salt Lake City. Suns guard Devin Booker scored 34 points in that game and we’re going to look at his three-point market for Friday’s rematch.
Utah’s defense ranks top-10 in fewest points in the paint allowed, but defending the perimeter is a different story. Booker went 5-for-12 from beyond the arc on Monday and he went 4-for-11 from three-point range against the Grizzlies on Wednesday. In four games against the Jazz last season, Booker averaged five made three-pointers per contest.
Utah has given up the most made three-pointers to opposing shooting guards this season and sixth-most made three-pointers to opposing point guards, as Booker generally splits time at each position every game for the Suns.
NBA Betting Trends for Friday, October 31
#509 Atlanta Hawks at #510 Indiana Pacers
Atlanta covered the spread in all three meetings last season. Both teams are on equal rest after playing on Wednesday. This is the third game of a road trip for the Hawks, who are 0-3 against the spread as a favorite so far this season. Since opening the season with an overtime contest against the Thunder, the Pacers have scored an average of 106.0 points per game. The Pacers are No. 29 in effective field goal shooting, No. 29 in true shooting percentage and No. 28 in offensive efficiency thus far.
#511 Boston Celtics at #512 Philadelphia 76ers
These Atlantic Division foes have already met this season with Philadelphia earning a 117-116 road win in Boston on Opening night. The dynamic duo of Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe combined for 74 points on 52-percent shooting from the floor with 12 made three-pointers in that contest. Joel Embiid only played for 20 minutes in that contest and finished 1-for-9 from the floor, so he should enjoy a little more success after shaking the rust off. All four of the Sixers’ games have gone over the total thus far.
#513 Toronto Raptors at #514 Cleveland Cavaliers
Cleveland won all four meetings last season, covering the spread in three of those. Three of those four meetings also went over the total.
#515 New York Knicks at #516 Chicago Bulls
This has been a very tightly-contested series in the Eastern Conference over the last three seasons. In the last ten meetings, three games have gone to overtime and four have been decided by either one or two points. The Bulls covered the number in all three meetings last year, including a pair of outright upset wins. The Knicks have dropped their first two games of this road trip while the Bulls have gone 4-0 straight-up and against the spread this season.
#517 Los Angeles Lakers at #518 Memphis Grizzlies
The Lakers have won five of the last six meetings in this Western Conference clash. Seven of the last eight meetings have gone over the total. Both teams are coming off road wins on Wednesday as the Lakers upset the T-Wolves in Minnesota while Memphis earned a road win in Phoenix. All five of the Lakers’ games have gone over the total thus far.
#519 Denver Nuggets at #520 Portland Trailblazers
Portland was a feisty ‘dog in this matchup last season, earning a pair of outright upset victories over the Nuggets. Each of the last six meetings between these squads have gone over the total. Four of the Blazers’ five games have gone over the total thus far. Denver has won-and-covered each of its last three games. Nikola Jokic has posted a triple-double in all four of the Nuggets’ games thus far.
#521 Utah Jazz at #522 Phoenix Suns
These teams just met in Salt Lake City on Monday with the Jazz earning a 138-134 win in overtime. Eight of the last nine meetings have gone over the total. Utah is 4-0 against the number this season while the Suns are 1-3 ATS, and the lone win came by a single point.
#523 New Orleans Pelicans at #524 Los Angeles Clippers
The Pelicans have covered the spread in five-straight meetings between these Western Conference foes. Over the last two seasons, New Orleans has earned three outright upset victories over the Clippers. The Pelicans are still searching for their first win of the season.
