Cavs vs Timberwolves Analysis
The Cavaliers take on the Timberwolves tonight as the Cavs are dealing with the absences of Garland and LeVert, but when the Timberwolves are involved it’s always going to be a game that prop bets will be involved.
Cavs vs Timberwolves Team Totals
The Cavaliers have a team total of 107.5 and Minnesota sits at 110.5, and unless Cleveland finds some unexpected production at the guard position I don’t know where the points come from to get over this total. The Cavs have scored 103 against Detroit and 92 against Washington, and Minnesota has a better defensive efficiency than both those teams.
I like Minnesota’s over Team Total as they went over against Memphis on Thursday, but under the next night in a tough back to back situation, but I can’t pull the trigger as Cleveland can defend, especially inside with Mobley and Allen, and they’re No. 1 defending centers.
Recommendation: Cavaliers’ Team Total Under 107.5 Points
Cavs vs Timberwolves Player Props
I love playing Patrick Beverley unders, and I’ll do it again tonight. When the Wolves have their full roster, there aren’t enough stats to go around and Beverley’s stats suffer. He had 20 points + rebounds + assists against Memphis where he hit four three pointers (second-best for the season), and the next game he came back to earth with two points and six rebounds.
I have a sneaky over as I think the books over adjust for the Towns line on points. They moved his total down to 21.5, and Cleveland is the best at defending centers in the league, but he scored 22 and 25 out of the All-Star break, and the 25 was against Embiid in a back to back situation. Too much of an over adjustment from the books I’ll take the over 21.5 for him.
Recommendation: Patrick Beverley UNDER 18.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
