Bucks vs Pacers Analysis

The Pacers are in the midst of a six-game losing streak as they travel to Milwaukee to take on the defending champion Bucks. The Bucks have gotten blown out in their last two outings and are expected to play Tuesday night without their superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo for the second straight game.

This is the fourth meeting between these two teams and the Bucks are 3-0 straight up and 3-0 against the spread vs Indiana this season.

Bucks Without Their Superstar

The Milwaukee Bucks are averaging 118.6 points over their last 10 games while letting up 117.4. The Bucks are 7-3 vs divisional foes this season with three of the seven wins coming against the Pacers earlier this season.

Without Giannis, the Bucks will rely on Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton to lead the Bucks on the offensive end.

Pacers on a Six-Game Skid

The Indiana Pacers have lost six straight games. After making two big-time trades before the trade deadline last Thursday, the Indiana Pacers are looking to get their first win with their new core of Buddy Hield and Tyrese Haliburton. Haliburton immediately became the Pacers’ leading scorer, averaging 22.5 points per game, and needs to spark this offense to end the slide.

Bucks vs Pacers Prediction

Without Giannis in the lineup, the Bucks were blown out by the lowly Portland Trailblazers. Since it appears that they will be lacking the offensive firepower provided by Giannis again, we do not expect the Bucks to be lighting up the stat sheet.

I am leaning UNDER 232.5 points for this matchup.

The Pacers should be motivated to end their skid and win the final of four matchups against their divisional foe. The Pacers are not a good shooting team as they are 25th in the league in three-point shooting percentage.

With the Pacers struggling on offense and the Bucks missing their best player, I do not expect a lights-out scoring effort.

Bucks vs Pacers Preview from GoldSheet

Be prepared for some fluctuations with this number depending upon the availability of Giannis, who is nursing a sore ankle and missed last night’s Bucks loss to the Blazers, after the price dropped a precipitous four points in a minute or so on Monday when word came down that the Greek Freak would be out. No Giannis might be the Pacers’ only hope after losing and failing to cover all three previously to the champs this season and seven in a row (plus 11 of 12) in a now one-sided series.

Meanwhile Rick Carlisle is in the process of fitting in deadline adds like Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield into the Pacers’ mix; in the case of Haliburton, he’s effectively been handed the keys to the offense with Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) having missed 13 straight games, and had 1 assists in 41 minutes vs. the T-wolves on Sunday. Hield? Not so good, at least yet, a ghastly 1 for 13 beyond the arc vs. Minny.

Really jumping off the page for Indiana, however, has been a drastic defensive downturn as the Pacers are now on course for their first bottom ten finish on the stop end in 23 years. In the last six games, all losses, Indiana has opened the barn door on the stop, allowing 120 points per 100 possessions. This no-defense mindset has not surprisingly resulted in a 10-1 “over” mark across the past eleven games.
