Expert NBA Player Props for Monday: Joel Embiid Philadelphia 76ers OVER 25.5 Points (-114)

The Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers are coming off a 116-115 overtime thriller where Tyrese Maxey & VJ Edgecombe played 45 minutes and Scottie Barnes & Immanuel Quickley both played 40+ minutes.

Joel Embiid sat out in that contest, so he’ll be fresh tonight, and he’s scored 25+ points in 17 of 24 career games head-to-head games against the Raptors.

Embiid has scored 27+ points in five straight games against Toronto including a 29-point effort on November 8th despite being restricted to only 26 minutes of play.

The restriction has been lifted as Embiid has averaged 32.9 minutes, 18.9 field goal attempts and a 33% usage rate during his last 10 games.

Embiid has covered this line in 7 of those 10 games while landing on 22 points exactly in the other three games.

The Raptors don’t have the size to defend Embiid even if Jakob Poeltl returns to action tonight. The 76ers are -3.5-point road favorites so he should see full minutes in a close game, but Philadelphia should be motivated to come out on top after falling just short last night.

Expert NBA Player Props for Monday: Jusuf Nurkic Utah Jazz OVER 13.5 Rebounds + Assists (-105)

Jusuf Nurkic has registered 16+ RA in three straight games while clearing this number in 5 of his last games and 7 of his last 9 games.

Nurkic has seen amazing volume recently with an average of 29.1 RA chances & 29 minutes per game and when he’s played 25+ minutes he’s covered this line in 14/17 games while averaging 17 RA per game.

The Cleveland Cavaliers do have a double big lineup but Jarrett Allen being on the floor should allow Nurkic to camp out in the paint.

We have seen several opposing centers eclipse their respective RA lines against Cleveland including Rudy Gobert (14 & 16), Victor Wembanyama (17), Mitchell Robinson (15), Karl Anthony-Towns (15), Moussa Diabate (16) and Nikola Vucevic (17 & 13).

The Cavaliers are -13.5-point favorites, but the Jazz just got completely embarrassed in a 150-95 loss against the Charlotte Hornets so Utah should put up some sort of a fight.
