Coca-Cola 600 Betting Analysis

NASCAR will race their insanely long 600 mile race at Charlotte, and I’ll just be very honest here. This is the hardest NASCAR race of the year to watch.

It’s on a Sunday on Memorial Day Weekend, it lasts half the day, and when they get on those long green flag runs, it’s just follow the leader for hours. However, there are some good betting opportunities at this track.

This race is so long that it gets dark towards the end of the race which changes the temperature and can give crew chiefs fits if they lose the handling on the car.

Last year saw Ross Chastain lead 153 laps, but Denny Hamlin got the win as Toyota finished 1-2 and Ford 3-4 despite Chevy leading a total of 346 laps.

After Toyota won Dover and Kansas in back to back weeks, Chevy won at Darlington and then both All-Star races at Wilkesboro. They are the favorite this week at -135 to win, and I wouldn’t bet against them.

Here are the best average finishes from the last four Coca-Cola 600’s:

Kyle Busch 3.0
Kevin Harvick 7.0
Tyler Reddick 7.7
Alex Bowman 10.3
Chase Elliott 10.3

Here are the best average finishes from Dover, Kansas, and Darlington:

William Byron 2.7
Denny Hamlin 6.0
Chase Elliott 7.0
Bubba Wallace 7.0
Ryan Blaney 9.3

Coca-Cola 600 Betting Notes

-William Byron has four straight top 10 finishes
-Bubba Wallace has finished 4th the last two cookie cutter tracks (Kansas, Las Vegas) -Despite being involved in a wreck every week, Ross Chastain has an average finish of 6.8 at California, Las Vegas and Kansas.

Coca-Cola 600 Best Bet

Best Bet: Kevin Harvick Top 10 -125 (Bovada)

Kevin Harvick’s average finish the last four races here is 7th, and he’s finished 5th, 9th and 11th at California, Las Vegas and Kanas….three similar tracks to Charlotte. Harvick’s worst finishes this year are on short tracks or restrictor plate tracks, this is a great price to grab Harvick to finish Top 10.
