Padres vs Dodgers Expert Betting Advice
This will be the second series between these division rivals, the Padres prevailed in two of three home games against Los Angeles just last weekend.
The Dodgers won the opener 5-2 but San Diego bounced back with 2-1 victory followed by a 5-2 10th inning win in the closing game. The Dodgers dominated the 2022 regular season series 14-5, going not only 8-2 at home but also 6-3 at Petco Park.
We covered that series and a recommendation was to take Freddie Freeman’s over on total bases against Joe Musgrove (Game 2 starter) as he is now 11-27 against him with a home run. Unfortunately, Freeman fell short going 0-5, but he is coming off a 2-5 game with a home run so let’s run it back.
Conversely Juan Soto is 1-23 against Urias (Game 2 starter) he does have what amounts to a lucky swing homer so take his under on hits or total bases.
Both Game 1 starters have had their way with the opposition and that held true last weekend when they combined for 12 innings of two run baseball in a head-to-head game. Let’s keep these questionable bullpens out of this and take the first five under in the opener.
