MLB Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #1: Mickey Gasper (BOS) +630

While not a house hold name, Mickey Gasper has been absolutely shredding it at the plate since he was called up by the Red Sox on August 17 after not playing in the majors since June 26.

Gasper was sent back down to the minors on Sunday briefly to make room for Roman Anthony but was called back up and promptly hit a home run in the first inning of their 9-8 extra innings win over the Mariners yesterday.

Bryan Woo gets the start for Seattle allowing two home runs each in his last two starts and also allowing 11 of his 17 home runs in total on the road this season.

Gasper will be batting left handed against Woo in which the Seattle starter has allowed 11 of 17 home runs to left handed batters. Gasper has hit all six of his home runs against right handed pitching while batting .308 and slugging .547 against them as well this season.

He has hit four of six home runs at home while slugging .577 compared to a .379 slugging percentage on the road this season as well. Gasper hit second in the lineup last night and given the home run he hit yesterday we should see him at the top of the order once again.

For August he batted .303 to go along with a .560 slugging percentage including six home runs with lefty Robert Gasser taking the mound for Milwaukee.

Suzuki has been exceptionally great against left handed pitching batting .319 and slugging .580 against them compared to a .263 average and .465 slugging percentage against righties.

Against the Brewers specifically Suzuki is 10-27 with three home runs so he’s brought his bat out when it has mattered most against the NL Central leaders.
