MLB Player Props Today for Friday: Trea Turner, Phillies OVER 2.5 (+120)

Trea Turner has managed to cover this plus money HRR line in 8 of his last 14 games (57%) while logging a hit in 16 of his last 17 games.

During his last 10 games, Turner has averaged 3.8 HRR per game. Now Turner gets another crack at Bryce Elder who he’s gone 3-7 (.429) against with a home run and a double.

Freddie Freeman has covered this HRR line in 6 of his last 10 games while averaging 3.1 HRR and 3 total bases per game.

Freeman has raked against right-handed pitching with a .307/.379/.512 slash line and 13 of his 18 home runs have come against righties.

Now Freeman gets another opportunity to feast on Zac Gallen who he’s gone 7-25 (.280) against with two home runs, two doubles and six RBI.

Gallen is in the midst of the worst season of his career where he’s posted a 5.13 ERA and 1.31 WHIP while allowing 26 home runs across 156 innings of work.

Gallen has been a little better recently, but he allowed 4 earned runs on 10 hits across 5.2 innings pitched in his lone start against the Dodgers in early May.

The veteran starting pitcher has posted a 10%-barrel rate on the season while relying heavily on his fastball & breaking pitch and Freeman has a barrel rate above 9% against both pitches.

Freeman missed Wednesday’s game with a stinger, but he should be ready to go after an off day yesterday.
