Best NRFI Bets Today – Free NRFI Picks

NRFI Prediction 1: New York Mets at St. Louis Cardinals (-110)

The Mets are near the bottom in MLB in first-inning production, averaging .32 runs per first inning. We will continue to back them in the NRFI market as long as the top of their lineup allows. On the road, this number drops to .26 runs per first inning, and they have a tough matchup against Kyle Gibson. Gibson has allowed a lot of contact this season, but he has great history against Francisco Lindor, Pete Alonso, and Brandon Nimmo, who are at the top of the Mets’ order.

Sean Manaea has allowed just one home run this season, which is huge for getting NRFIs. Manaea also has a very low 2.9% walk rate against the current Cardinals’ roster, so he’s done a great job limiting baserunners against the Cardinals. St. Louis averages just .44 runs in the first inning this season, and that number drops to .27 when playing at home. This is a great matchup for an NRFI.

NRFI Best Bet Today #2: Seattle Mariners at Minnesota Twins (-110)

The Mariners and the Twins are two of the highest strikeout teams in baseball, which is always good for an NRFI. Minnesota is one of the worst first-inning teams in the MLB, averaging .33 runs in the first frame, and they are facing Luis Castillo, who is one of the premier strikeout pitchers in the MLB.

The Mariners are averaging .35 runs in the first frame, but they have been better on the road so far this season. Simeon Woods Richardson makes the start for the Twins, and the young pitcher has been great so far for the Twins. He is not a major strikeout pitcher, but he limits walks, which is major for securing a NRFI.
