Athletics outfielder Brent Rooker is in a hitting slump currently don’t get us wrong, but he has a chance to get back on track today in Sacramento as the Athletics host lefty Tyler Anderson and the Angels, capping off a four-game set.

Rooker has had substantial success when facing left-handed pitching this season batting .297 with a .676 slugging percentage compared to facing righties, batting just .221 to go along with a .374 slugging percentage.

Anderson has allowed nine home runs this season including two in his last start at the Dodgers. Rooker’s slugging percentage at home is also 70 points higher at home than in road games and although he hasn’t been great during this series against the Angels, he batted .429 with a .857 slugging percentage against them last season.

The Athletics are in the midst of a seven-game losing streak so we should see some extra motivation from Athletics batters in general to try and snap the streak.

Orioles starter Cade Povich has allowed four home runs in total across his last three starts as he gets the start in Fenway Park tonight taking on the Red Sox.

We get valuable odds for Red Sox third baseman Alex Bregman to hit a home run tonight batting .364 and slugging .500 against left-handed pitching this season so far.

Bregman has struggled as of late but last season against the Orioles he batted .323 with a .516 slugging percentage with Povich allowing two home runs in 4.2 innings pitched at Fenway Park last season.

He has allowed right handed batters to do the most damage this season allowing a .304 average and .520 slugging percentage compared to a .205 average and .359 slugging percentage allowed to left handed hitters in 2025.

Although Bregman isn’t having the month he had like April, he’s still slugging .500 this month despite only accumulating three hits in his last six games played.

Take Bregman to hit a home run tonight at home with odds listed at +560. Other Red Sox hitters to consider for a home run against the Orioles are Wilyer Abreu (+520) and Trevor Story (+870).
