Boston sends Tanner Houck to the mound tonight who has allowed seven total home runs this season, six to lefties.

Therefore we’re going to look at a value play tonight and take switch hitting catcher Jonah Heim to hit a home run tonight.

Heim had two home runs against Houck on Opening Day with the catcher going 4-7 with three home runs against the Red Sox starter in his career. In total, Houck has allowed left handed bats a .608 slugging percentage this season compared to a .313 slugging percentage against righties.

Houck allowed three home runs to the Rangers last season with Heim looking to extend a four-game hitting streak and has a hit in 11 of his past 12 games overall.

We get Heim at +750 odds to hit a home run tonight with other Rangers hitters to look at for a home run include Adolis Garcia (+520) and Corey Seager (+420).

MLB HR Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Ben Rice (NYY) +340

It hasn’t been the start of the season Dylan Cease was looking for in his second season as a Padre. He sports a 5.61 ERA going into his start at Yankee Stadium tonight which includes a road ERA of 9.00.

All three home runs he’s given up this season have been to left-handed batters in which we’ll look for lefty Ben Rice to hit a home run tonight. He went 2-4 with two doubles and two RBIs moving his slugging percentage for the season to .573.

He has a .646 slugging percentage against righties this season and although Cease hasn’t allowed a home run on the road this season, that has a solid chance of ending tonight due to the short porch in right field.

Rice had seven home runs in April, but has yet to hit one in May although he’s still slogging .500 for the month.

Look for Rice to hit a home run tonight at +400 odds with other Yankees batters to consider for a home run include of course Aaron Judge (+200) and Cody Bellinger (+560).
