Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Marcell Ozuna (+265)

Lefty Christopher Sanchez gets the start for Philadelphia tonight giving up 12 of his 13 home runs at Citizens Bank Park which will be the setting for tonight’s contest against the Braves.

Marcell Ozuna has posted the 4th highest slugging percentage of any qualified MLB player against lefties belting a home run every nine at bats compared to one home run every 16 at-bats against righties.

Ozuna has had five different instances in which he’s hit a home run in back-to-back games and we think a sixth happens tonight with him hitting a home run in last night’s extra innings win.

He’s hitting a modest .267 for September with three home runs but against the Phillies specifically on the season he’s batting .303 with four home runs. Sanchez has yet to face the Braves this season but he could be in store for a long night.

Take Ozuna to hit a home run at +265 with other Braves to consider for a home run include Sean Murphy (+360) and Ronald Acuna Jr. (+300).

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Yordan Alvarez (+330)

Paul Blackburn is actually starting to put together a solid season for the Athletics now sporting a sub-4.00 ERA but the Astros are locked in still leading the AL West even after losing back-to-back games to Oakland.

Yordan Alvarez has gotten to the Athletics starter a few times going 4-12 with three home runs in his career vs Blackburn. Alvarez should be able to take advantage of his home run potential tonight as Blackburn allows lefties to bat .303 against him on the season compared to allowing righties to bat .276.

The Houston outfielder has been seeing the ball great as of late batting .353 in September to go along with three home runs and a .647 slugging percentage.

Alvarez has three home runs against the Athletics this season which is tied for most against any team he’s faced this season. During road games Blackburn allows opponents to bat .328 compared to at home where he allows only a .249 batting average.

Take Alvarez to hit a home run tonight at +330 with other Astros who could potentially hit a home run include Kyle Tucker (+400) and Chas McCormick (+460).
