We’re going to take a stab with a long shot home run prop today taking Spencer Horwitz who has two home runs across his last four games.

Colin Rea takes the mound for the Cubs in Pittsburgh today sporting a 6.75 road ERA and has allowed four of his eight home runs away from Wrigley Field as well.

Horwitz is a lefty with Rea allowing a .308 average and .423 slugging percentage to left handed hitters compared to a .205 average and .398 slugging percentage allowed to righties.

Horwitz doesn’t have a home run in nine at-bats all-time against Rea but he has three hits including a double and has home runs off Cubs relievers Ryan Rolison and Daniel Palencia.

On the season Horwitz is batting .318 and slugging .506 in home games compared to a .254 average and .408 slugging percentage on the road and has four of his six total home runs for the season in the last 30 days.

Rea has allowed five home runs combined across his last four starts with Horwitz notching a hit in 11 of his last 12 games. With that, let’s take Horwitz and his hot bat to hit a home run prop today at +790 odds with first pitch in Pittsburgh coming at 6:40PM ET.

We cashed with Yordan Alvarez two days ago on his home run prop and we’re going back to him today with the shortened MLB slate and another favorable matchup.

Alvarez hit two more home runs yesterday making it five in his last three games and 20 overall for the season which is tied for second most in the MLB.

The Astros and Rangers meet once more in Arlington to cap off their four-game set with Nathan Eovaldi taking the mound for Texas.

Although he has looked sharp across his last 3-4 starts, he still has given up 11 home runs on the season with five coming at home in 19 innings pitched and the other six coming on the road in 42.2 innings pitched.

Head-to-head all-time Alvarez is 12-23 against Eovaldi with two home runs with the Houston DH also blasting home runs off Rangers relievers Tyler Alexander, Jalen Beeks and Cal Quantrill.

Of the 11 home runs Eovaldi has given up this season, eight have come against left handed batters with 12 of Alvarez’s 20 home runs coming off right handed pitching.

Alvarez is slugging .600 in road games, .630 against right handed pitching and now has eight home runs this month so let’s take him to hit his home run prop once again at +300 odds as the Astros look to take three of four from the Rangers on the road.
