Luis Severino gets the start for the Athletics in Pittsburgh taking on the Pirates after giving up three home run combined across his last two starts (10 IP).

Both of these teams have nothing to play for at this point of the season, but lefty Spencer Horwitz has recently stated to break out batting .294 and slugging .559 across the last 15 days.

The Pirates first baseman has just nine home runs in 338 at-bats but six of those nine home runs have come in August and September with Horwitz batting .274 and slugging .426 against righties this season compared to a .167 average and .262 slugging percentage against lefties.

Severino has been better on the road this season, however Horwitz is battling to potentially have an every day role next season, something he hasn’t been able to grasp since entering the MLB in 2023 with the Blue Jays.

We expect Horwitz to treat the home stretch of the season like his career depends on it getting great value at +680 to hit his home run prop tonight. Other Pirates to consider for a home run prop includes Oneil Cruz (+420) and Bryan Reynolds (+600).

MLB HR Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Taylor Ward (LAA) +320

It’s the battle of divisional cellar dwellers as the Angels continue their road trip in Colorado taking on the Rockies tonight.

We’re taking a shot with Taylor Ward to hit his home run prop tonight already posting career highs in home runs (33) and RBIs (100) for this season.

Sure, his .225 batting average is the worst he’s posted since he was a rookie, but he did blast two home runs in Milwaukee during Wednesday’s 9-2 loss.

Ward has been a much more exceptional hitter on the road this season batting .264 and slugging .550 compared to batting .185 and slugging .382 at home.

Bradley Blalock gets the start for the Rockies who has been atrocious in limited action this season allowing six home runs combined across his last three starts (11.1 IP).

He posts a 12.58 home ERA while allowing seven home runs in 24.1 innings pitched at Coors Field as well.

He allows righties to hit .322 while slugging .563 this season with Ward hitting 27 of 33 home runs against right handed pitching.

Take Ward to hit his home run prop tonight with odds listed at +320. Other Angels hitters to consider for a home run prop includes Mike Trout (+230) and Jo Adell (+240).
