Dodgers utility player Tommy Edman got a late start to the season, not playing his first game until June 17 as we’ll take valuable odds for him to hit his home run prop tonight.

Sure, Edman has just two home runs on the season so far but he did go 3-4 with three RBIs in Wednesday’s win at Philadelphia and is slugging .500 for July.

Los Angeles heads to New York to take on the Mets as they send veteran lefty Sean Manaea to the mound. All-time Edman is 4-5 with two home runs off Manaea with the Mets starter giving up two home runs each across his last three starts.

Against lefties this season Edman is batting .348 and slugging .565 and it’s worth noting he has hit both of his home runs on the road this season batting .383 and slugging .638 compared to a .333 home average and .410 slugging percentage.

Of the 12 home runs Manaea has given up this season, nine have been against right handed hitters while allowing a .512 slugging percentage to them compared to a .352 slugging percentage allowed to left handed hitters.

Wilson has been solid against lefties this season batting .256 and slugging .436 with two of his three home runs compared to righties batting .179 and slugging .321.

He has also hit two of his three home runs during road games batting .273 while slugging .591 compared to home games batting .200 and slugging .289.

Gore has been in poor current form as of late too allowing six total home runs across his last four starts (19.2 IP). Wilson and Gore have actually gone head-to-head 10 times all-time with Wilson going 4-10 with a home run.
