Nine of his 13 home runs allowed this season have been to lefties leading us to target Kyle Tucker to hit his home run prop tonight.
Tucker is only slugging .350 this month but he does ride a six-game hitting streak into Colorado and has slugged .909 over the past seven days.
He’s a better hitter on the road than at home batting .284 while slugging .518 compared to at home batting .243 while slugging .402.
This will be Marquez’s first start since July 20th, allowing five total home runs in his last four starts combined.
Take Tucker to hit a home run tonight at +420 with other Cubs to consider for a home run includes Michael Busch (+320) and Pete Crow-Armstrong (+350).
MLB HR Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Yordan Alvarez (HOU) +260
Yordan Alvarez returned from the IL three days ago after missing nearly four months of action and we think he has a solid chance to hit his second home run since his return.
Alvarez has roughly one month of play under his belt this season as the Astros host the Angels who send Tyler Anderson to the mound.
Alvarez has had Anderson’s number for the most part going 8-21 with three home runs all-time with Anderson allowing lefties to bat .301 while slugging .609 this season.
Alvarez has also had success against left handed hurlers this season batting .313 to go along with a .625 slugging percentage compared to right handed pitching batting .193 and slugging .318.
Last season against the Angels Alvarez batted .375 while slugging .833. Through four August starts (19 IP) Anderson has allowed eight total home runs so let’s take Alvarez to hit his home run prop tonight with odds listed at +260.
Other Astros batters to look at for a home run prop includes Christian Walker (+340) and Carlos Correa (+400).
