College Basketball Props Prediction 1: Noah Waterman, BYU OVER 9.5 Points (-130) DK

BYU Cougars forward Noah Waterman is averaging 11.4 points per game on 46.6% shooting from the field and 39.2% from long distance through his first 14 games of the 2023-24 campaign.

Waterman has scored 10+ points in 8 of his last 11 games and 9 of 14 games on the season. The Cougars rely heavily on the shooting from beyond the arc and Waterman is a great example of that as 5.6 of his 8.4 shots per game are coming from long distance.

Waterman has been launching three’s left and right, going 6-19 in his last two games and 12-30 in his last four games.

He’s also seen an uptick in minutes, playing 30, 27 and 27 in his last three games after only reaching 27 minutes once in the prior 11 games.

The Baylor Bears are due for some regression at defending the 3-ball as numbers suggest that opposing teams should be shooting 3% better from long distance against them.

This could easily wind up being game of the night and with a spread of only -4.5 Waterman should see full minutes while firing away three-pointers at will.

College Basketball Props Prediction 2: Zach Edey, Purdue UNDER 20.5 Points (-105) DK

Purdue Boilermakers center Zach Edey has averaged 22.3 points on 63.4% shooting from the field through the first 15 games of the season.

However, Edey has fallen short of this total in three of his last four games with 10, 23, 13 and 18 points. We cashed an under ticket in the last CBB Player Props article last week as Edey scored only 10 points despite shooting an accurate 5-5 form the field.

That’s been the common theme for Edey recently as he hasn’t seen the volume to reach this mark with only 5, 13, 7 and 8 shots in his last four games.

Edey has only taken one three-point attempt all season and his free throw attempts are also down with 3, 8, 5 and 8 in those four games.

Nebraska has also done a solid job defensively against Edey, holding him to 12 and 11 points in their last two head-to-head games. Let’s keep riding the under on Edey’s points until we see him return to early season form.
