CFB Week 5 Player Props Quick Picks

  • Dylan Edwards (Kansas) Over 85.5 Rushing Yards – Middle Tennessee allowing over 160 rushing yards per game this season
  • Demond Williams Jr. (Washington) Over 260.5 Passing Yards – USC defense just allowed 289 passing yards to Dylan Raiola at home and starting linebacker suspended

CFB Player Prop #1: Dylan Edwards (Kansas) Over 85.5 Rushing Yards

Before the bye week for Kansas, junior running back Dylan Edwards finally started to find his footing for the Jayhawks rushing for 89 yards on 18 carries in a 24-17 loss to Arizona State.

We’ll look for him to go over 85.5 rushing yards at home this Saturday against a mediocre Middle Tennessee State squad. Sure, he only combined for 70 rushing yards on 12 attempts in Kansas’ first two games but he is averaging 5.3 yards per carry so far on the season.

With that he should need 16-17 carries to surpass this number against a Blue Raiders team that is allowing 161.3 rushing yards per game including giving up 94 yards on 12 carries to Jacksonville State freshman running back Lucas Farrington last week.

Edwards doesn’t have the most impressive game log from season’s past but when given the opportunity he doesn’t disappoint. Last season against UCF he had 166 rushing yards on 20 attempts and in 2024 in the Rate Bowl against Rutgers he had 196 rushing yards on 18 attempts.

Aside from those two games he didn’t have more than ten carries in a game over the past two years until their loss to Arizona State two weeks ago.

With Edwards also looking for his first touchdown this season, we expect Kansas to feed him the ball once again going over 85.5 rushing yards on Saturday against Middle Tennessee State.

CFB Player Prop #2: Demond Williams Jr. (Washington) Over 260.5 Passing Yards

Washington heads to USC for their first road game of the season which may be a blessing in disguise after the team dropped their game at home to Minnesota last week 27-24 after closing as 12-13 point favorites.

Williams Jr. had 239 passing yards in that game against a Minnesota team averaging 174.5 passing yards per game, but we think he’ll have an easier time getting the ball down field against a USC defense allowing 236.2 yards per game through the air so far this season.

We’ll take Williams Jr. to go over 260.5 passing yards on Saturday while averaging 282 passing yards per game so far this season. USC just allowed 289 passing yards to Oregon backup Dylan Raiola after Dante Moore exited the game with a concussion.

It’s worth noting as a result of that play he suffered the concussion, USC linebacker Desman Stephens II will be suspended for this game which is a downgrade for the Trojans defense.

With a total now nearing 60 we expect this game to be a fast paced and high scoring affair so let’s take Williams Jr. to go over 260.5 passing yards against a Trojans defense that has allowed 35 points per game over their last three.
