UFC 332 Predictions: Undercard
Payton Talbott (-491) vs Deiveson Figueiredo (+430)
Figueiredo has been slowing down. He’s 38 years old with more than 30 fights, and at this stage he doesn’t have the power, volume, striking, or speed to consistently compete at an elite level.
Talbott is the up-and-comer. He suffered the first loss of his career last January, and there were questions about his focus outside the Octagon, but he’s responded with two straight wins.
He has the reach to consistently land jabs and kicks, and he showed he could hold his own on the ground against decorated wrestler Henry Cejudo last time out. Talbott should be more active and land the better shots. Talbott is the pick.
King Green (+200) vs Esteban Ribovics (-229)
Green is 40 years old, but he’s won four straight, so he’s clearly not done being a solid fighter. He has that unusual hands-down style, constantly jabbing, moving, and talking throughout the fight. Ribovics is a different animal when it comes to pace.
He overwhelms opponents with speed, volume, and nonstop pressure, landing more than 120 strikes when his fights go the distance.
Green recently faced another high-paced striker and was getting pieced up early before his opponent completely gassed and Green got the finish. Ribovics has the cardio to maintain his pace for three rounds. Ribovics is the pick because Green simply won’t have the volume to keep up.
Khaos Williams (+250) vs Roberto Soldic (-291)
Khaos hadn’t looked particularly good heading into his last fight, but he erased those concerns with a first-round knockout. The problem is his opponent wasn’t a particularly good striker, and Soldic absolutely is.
Soldic is 31 and hasn’t been very active, with a fight in 2023 followed by boxing and MMA appearances in 2025. Khaos also doesn’t seem to deal particularly well with pressure.
Your notes cut off after “If he can move forward”, so I’ll leave this one there rather than add a pick or reasoning you didn’t provide.
Roman Kopylov (+173) vs Ateba Gautier (-205)
Gautier is a bit of a one-trick pony, but his power punching is one hell of a trick. When he lands clean, people go out. His movement isn’t great, though, and quicker fighters who move well can stay away from those big shots. He’s also extremely strong, which makes wrestling him difficult.
Kopylov moves well, and in his last fight he was getting pieced up early before rallying and dropping his opponent multiple times in the second and third rounds.
Kopylov doesn’t wear damage particularly well, which is dangerous against Gautier, but if I’m looking for underdogs, Gautier’s relatively basic game makes this interesting. Kopylov at +173 is the underdog look.
Alden Coria (+134) vs Imanol Rodriguez (-155)
Rodriguez is only 26, he’s 7-0, and we’re seeing improvement every fight. His big weakness is striking defense. He was dropped multiple times in the first round of his last fight, but he never panicked.
He survived, found the takedown, avoided taking major damage, and then took over on the ground before getting the knockout in the second.
His striking is much faster than Coria’s, and his takedown game might be better as well. Coria has had a couple of unimpressive wins, including getting taken down and controlled by an inferior opponent in a fight he was fortunate to win. His striking doesn’t impress me either. Rodriguez has the higher ceiling everywhere and is the pick.
Damian Pinas (-459) vs Andrey Pulyaev (+380)
I love Pinas here. Pulyaev looks pretty limited as a UFC fighter. He’s shown that he can be overmatched against power strikers and doesn’t counter big shots particularly well. In his last fight, he was also manhandled in the clinch and on the ground before getting choked out.
I just don’t see enough offensive weapons for him to win this matchup. Pinas is a legitimate striker who has put together six straight knockout wins. If he lands a couple of clean shots, he can turn the lights out. Pinas is the clear pick, likely by knockout.
Marcus McGhee (-143) vs Benardo Sopaj (+123)
McGhee has been really good. He can strike, he can wrestle, and his only recent loss came against current champion Petr Yan. My concern is that McGhee looks a little slow, and at 36 years old, I think he’s beginning to decline physically. Sopaj suffered a brutal knockout in his UFC debut but has responded with two straight wins.
He looked good last time out, landed big shots on the feet, and eventually finished the fight with a rear-naked choke. I think these guys are much closer than the odds suggest. I’ll take Sopaj at +123.
Anthony Wint (-460) vs Lucas Armand (+397)
I don’t think Wint is as good as this price suggests. He’s raw and still not particularly polished, but the UFC continues giving him favorable matchups where he can build his record.
He can wrestle and his striking is okay, but with so many early finishes, we haven’t really seen him tested in deep waters. Armand doesn’t have much experience and the level of competition is poor, but he can strike and clinch and should at least give Wint a competitive fight early.
Wint probably ends up outclassing him, but I’m not laying this kind of price. Wint is the pick, but -460 is way too expensive for a fighter with this many holes.
Mick Parkin (+118) vs Johnny Walker (-130)
Both guys are coming off losses. Parkin losing to Tybura was a bad look, although I’m not sure he deserved to lose on the scorecards. He struggled with volume and appeared to get tired.
Walker’s last loss had some similarities. He looked scared to exchange with Reyes and simply didn’t produce enough volume. These guys are fairly evenly matched, but Walker’s reluctance to take punches and engage worries me. It’s not a fight I love, but Parkin at +118 is the pick.

Alexander Hernandez (-250) vs Rafael Dos Anjos (+217)
I honestly thought Dos Anjos had retired. He suffered a bad leg injury almost two years ago, hasn’t fought since, is now 41 years old, and enters on a three-fight losing streak.
He’s simply old and slow at this stage, and I don’t think he has the speed anymore to consistently get his ground game going. Hernandez is capable of dropping the ball in fights he should win.
He had won four straight before Rafa Garcia soundly beat him on the feet, but he should have a massive athletic advantage in this matchup. An old fighter returning from a major injury is an easy fade for me. Hernandez is the pick.
Marvin Vettori (+115) vs Ismail Naurdiev (-135)
I’ve made a lot of money fading Vettori, and I’ll do it again here. He’s lost four straight UFC fights and just doesn’t have much upside left. He can’t consistently wrestle, doesn’t have big striking power, and now the volume isn’t there either.
Even when he gets into the clinch, he struggles to generate meaningful offense or score points with the judges. Naurdiev has the better striking, can compete on the ground if the fight gets there, and is younger and more athletic. Naurdiev should outwork Vettori everywhere and win by decision.
Jacobe Smith (-791) vs Bruce Whitehead (+623)
This should be straightforward. Whitehead hasn’t faced amazing competition and likes to start extremely fast while hunting for an early finish. I just don’t think he has what it takes to finish Smith.
Smith is stronger, can get takedowns, and can do damage on the feet as well. Once Whitehead’s initial burst is gone, Smith should take over. Smith by finish is the pick.
Court McGee (+207) vs Eric Nolan (-240)
This is Court McGee’s retirement fight. He’s lost four of his last five, and the youth and athleticism simply aren’t there anymore. His striking has slowed down, he was dominated on the ground in his last fight, and after spending most of his career being extremely durable, he’s also been knocked out recently.
Nolan’s weakness is his takedown defense—that’s how he lost his last two fights—but he should have a significant advantage on the feet here. I’ll fade the retiring fighter. Nolan is the pick.
UFC 332 Main Event: Natalia Silva (-190) vs Wang Cong (+173)
On paper, this should be a fun five-round fight between two talented strikers. Silva should be the better fighter. She’s lightning quick, shouldn’t have to worry much about defending takedowns, and should be able to work the clinch when she wants.
The concern is her last fight against Namajunas. It was her toughest test, and she looked stuck in the mud offensively. I thought she lost, although the judges gave her the decision.
If Silva is that tentative again and spends too much time moving backward, Cong can steal rounds. Cong is a good striker who moves well, and neither woman has been tested over five rounds. Lean Silva, but this could be really close. If Silva gets back to being aggressive, she should win.
