The Royals continue their road trip in Colorado tonight taking on the Rockies who are sending Tomoyuki Sugano to the mound. He has allowed 20 home runs in 96 innings pitched with 14 of those coming off left-handed bats.

With that we’ll take Jac Caglianone to hit his home run prop tonight who has 12 of his 17 home runs against right handed pitching. Caglianone’s power has definitely gone down since the all-star break but we get a favorable pitching matchup along with the altitude of Coors Field.

Sugano has been in rough form as of late as well giving up two home runs a piece in each of his last three starts. The Royals outfielder just hit a home run in yesterday’s 4-3 loss to the Twins and it’s worth noting the Rockies as a team have given up the second most home runs across the last 15 days.

Take Caglianone to hit a home run at +285 odds. Other Royals hitters to look at for a home run includes Carter Jensen (+310) and Salvador Perez (+340).

MLB Home Run Prop Best Bet of the Day #2: Spencer Torkelson (DET) +265

It’s been somewhat of an up and down season for Tigers first baseman Spencer Torkelson who just hit his 20th home run of the season and the 100th for his career in last night’s 10-9 extra innings loss to the Orioles.

We’ll take him to hit his home run prop tonight as the Tigers play in Sacramento taking on the Athletics. Lefty Jeffrey Springs takes the mound for the Athletics having given up 27 home runs in total this season already which is most in the MLB.

Of those 27 home runs he has given up 21 to right handed batters like Torkelson while also allowing a .547 slugging percentage to them.

He sports a 6.79 home ERA while also allowing 16 of his 27 home runs with seven of those home runs coming in his last three home starts (13 IP).

Springs actually went against Detroit on July 8th and Torkelson hit a three-run home run off him and all-time against Springs the Tigers first baseman is 2-6 with two home runs.

With a favorable matchup locked in for tonight, take Torkelson to hit a home run at +265 odds. Other Tigers batters to consider for a home run prop are Dillon Dingler (+280) and Gleyber Torres (+350).
