Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #1: Luis Garcia Jr. (WSH) +490

Nationals first baseman Luis Garcia Jr. is seven home runs away from setting a new career high for a season as Philadelphia and Washington play the third of a four game set today.

Garcia Jr. has already hit a home run in back to back games and we’ll look for him to cash his home run props once again tonight with the Phillies sending Aaron Nola to the mound.

These two have tons of history against one another with Garcia Jr. going 13-41 with three doubles and two home runs all-time. After last start, Nola has now given up two home runs each in back to back starts and of his 15 home runs given up on the season nine have come on the road.

Garcia Jr. is a lefty in which Nola has also struggled against this season allowing nine of his 15 home runs to them while also allowing a .528 slugging percentage.

Garcia Jr. has seven home runs this month while slugging .631 as well in June and although he’s been a slightly better hitter on the road this season, three of his last four home runs have come at home.

It’s also worth noting that aside from solid splits against Nola, Garcia Jr. has also hit a home run against Phillies relievers Orion Kerkering, Alan Rangel and Chase Shugart.

Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Kazuma Okamoto (TOR) +360

Across his last six starts Astros starter Mike Burrows has given up 10 total home runs as we’ll look at Blue Jays rookie Kazuma Okamoto to hit his home run prop tonight.

The Toronto third baseman has been the Blue Jays leading home run hitter this season with 17 which includes five of those hit this month while slugging .603 in June as well.

Burrows has allowed 18 home runs in total this season which has been alarming to Houston considering he only allowed 13 last season in 19 starts as a member of the Pirates.

Okamoto has hit eight of his 17 home runs at home where he is hitting .273 and slugging .483 compared to road splits batting .207 and slugging .444.

Across his last three games Okamoto is 6-10 with two home runs and seven RBIs and he has hit 13 of 17 home runs off right handed pitching on the season.

With Burrows struggling to contain home runs allowed as a starter this season and Okamoto coming in hot, let’s take him to hit his home run props tonight at +360. Other Blue Jays to look at for a home run tonight includes George Springer (+390) and Jesus Sanchez (+420).
