NBA Player Props Best Bet #1: Max Christie (DAL) Over 14.5 Points (-118)

Cooper Flagg is slated to miss another game for Dallas tonight at home as they host the 13-47 Kings. With Flagg’s absence, Max Christie will become the de-facto point guard once again for Dallas and we’ll take him to go over 14.5 points tonight.

It’s no secret that the Kings defense has been abysmal this season sitting 28th in defensive efficiency heading into tonight.

Over the last 30 days the Kings have allowed the most points per game to point guards and have allowed 126.6 points per game over their last five.

In six games without Flagg this season Christie has averaged 15.6 points per game and it’s worth noting the Mavericks will also be without P.J. Washington who is averaging 14 points per game on the season.

The Mavericks do return home after a five game road trip which should benefit Christie as well averaging 1.5 points more per game at home than on the road.

With the Kings allowing the highest opponent field goal percentage per game on the season and Dallas missing 34+ points per game from their lineup tonight, let’s go with Christie to shine and get over 14.5 points.

NBA Player Props Best Bet #2: Bennedict Mathurin (LAC) Over 30.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115)

With Kawhi Leonard and John Collins both heading into tonight’s game as questionable, let’s go with a Clipper who we know is healthy and has been playing excellent basketball as of late.

Enter Bennedict Mathurin who has been playing with a point to prove since being dealt from Indiana averaging 34.7 points + rebounds + assists since the move to LA.

Sure, Minnesota sits top ten in defensive efficiency and rebounding rate this season, but they also run at a top ten pace which will translate to extra possessions all around with the Clippers running at the third slowest pace in the league.

On the season Mathurin is averaging 33.4 points + rebounds + assists per 40 minutes and should both Leonard and Collins miss tonight, he may come close to hitting that mark averaging 32 minutes per game already while on the Clippers.

It’s worth noting that Mathurin scores a lot of points from the free throw line averaging 11 attempts per game on LA with the Timberwolves allowing the fifth most free throw attempts per game this season.

With Minnesota also allowing the third most points per game to shooting guards over the last week, let’s go with Mathurin to fill up the stat sheet once again for LA going over 30.5 points + rebounds + assists at home against the Timberwolves.
