Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Blue Jays return home after a six-game road trip to host the Rays sending out Shane Baz for the start tonight.

Guerrero Jr. hasn’t hit a home run since May 1 but does have a hit in every game this month aside from this past Saturday.

The Blue Jays first baseman doesn’t have a home run off Baz in his career but is 4-8 with the Rays starter allowing one home run in five of his last six starts.

Returning home seems like a great thing for Guerrero Jr. with three of his four total home runs on the season coming at the Rogers Centre in nine less at bats than he’s taken on the road.

The Rays and Blue Jays haven’t faced off this season yet, but last season against the Rays Guerrero Jr. was 20-48 with three home runs which includes a .625 slugging percentage.

Guerrero Jr. has averaged 34 home runs per season across his last four so let’s take him to hit his fifth home run of the season tonight at +470 odds.

Other Blue Jays to consider for a home run include Daulton Varsho (+440) and Anthony Santander (+390).

Lefty Jeffrey Springs takes the mound for the Athletics tonight in Los Angeles taking on a Dodgers team returning from a 10-game road trip.

Hernandez has excelled against lefties in general this season actually slugging .571 compared to slugging just .393 against righties on the season.

He’s also batting .267 with a .467 slugging percentage at home this season compared to a .185 average and .444 slugging percentage on the road.

The Dodgers’ utility player isn’t known for his power, but is already half way to his home run total from last season in just 23% of at-bats that he totaled in 2024.
