We play the home club here as Seton Hall are desperate to put a big win on their resume. Beating the Big Bad Red Storm would be what the doctor ordered. We are not sure they can win tonight but we believe we are getting generous points here in this game. The Hall are 12-4 at home and tonight is all important senior night in Newark. These teams are excellent on the defensive end and every possession will count tonight. The Pirates lost by only 5 at the Garden on January 20 TH and we believe that provides momentum for the Pirates in this one. St. Johns will be the number 1 seed at the Big East tourney with a win and thus we make a small play on the Hall as the points could easily come into play.

As Miami OH looks to complete a perfect regular season, the question we need to be asking ourselves is whether or not the RedHawks' recent offensive regression is a mirage, or a sign of things to come? Over the last three games, the nation's sixth highest scoring team (90.6 PPG) has averaged only 72.3 points. They've gone just 1-2 ATS in that stretch with two of the wins coming by exactly two points.

But Ohio is not good defensively. Only four MAC teams have a lower defensive rating at KenPom and the Bobcats are second worst in the conference at defending the three. Toss in the fact that Miami is #3 in the country in 2-point percentage and this seems like an ideal spot for the undefeated RedHawks to rediscover their lost touch.

When these rivals met a few weeks ago in Oxford, Miami put up 90 points on 52% shooting (including 50% from three). They scored 85 or more points in 12 of the first 15 conference games. Don't want to lay points on the road with a team that's been winning a lot of close games all season. But OU just gave up 94 points at UMass earlier this week. I think Miami gets back on track at the offensive end here.

The Redhawks are having a historic season. As the only unbeaten team in the country, the Redhawks are also just the 15th in Division I men's basketball history to win its first 30 games of the season. Many of their wins have been hard-fought. Facing their arch-rival for Friday's regular season finale, another nail biter won't surprise. Four of Miami's last 10 games, including each of their last two, were decided by just two points. Prior to those 10 games, the Redhawks were involved in b2b OT games. Miami did convincingly win this season's first meeting but the Bobcats are 8-2 the past 10 meetings, 5-0 here at Ohio. Sure, the RedHawks badly want that final "W" but the Bobcats arguably want to hand them their first loss, every bit as much. Miami coach Travis Steele had this to say: "...That's a rivalry game.
