THE PLAY: PARLAY Both Teams to Score + OVER 2.5 (-150)
MLS
(210065) San Diego FC at (210066) Chicago Fire
Neither team is known for excellent defense. For San Diego, aside from the month of May where they had a 7-game stretch in which they allowed just 0.69 xGA per match, they have allowed an average of 1.60 xGA in their other 14 matches this season including a higher 1.87 mark in all away matches. Still they sit atop the conference thanks to an offense that has scored 44 goals in 21 matches including 22 in ten away matches and 12 over just their last three.
Chicago was red hot at the end of May/early June scoring 17 goals in a 5-match stretch only to lose three of their next four matches, scoring a total of just one goal in those three losses. However, those defenses they faced included Nashville, Philadelphia, and Cincinnati, the literal top three teams in the East. Sandwiched in between was a 3-2 win over Charlotte.
San Diego ranks 1st in scoring this season netting 44 goals while Chicago isn't far behind with 39, ranking 4th. Two strong offenses, neither particularly good defensively, we should see plenty of chances here.
