THE PLAY: Central Michigan +3.5 (-109)
I've been talking about this game all week and the market has listened. Bowling Green is coming off a miraculous win last week, here at home, against rival Toledo. The Falcons trailed 21-0 in that game, with a backup QB, but somehow found a way to come back and win 28-23. Despite being outgained 429-226. BG had the lowest post game win expectancy of ANY team that won last Saturday. Not sure if starting QB Drew Pyne is going to be back this week. But don’t care.
That is because Central Michigan is off a bye. And the Chippewas are angry, after losing outright as 7.5-point road favorites at Akron two weeks ago. So this is a situation where the home team is coming off an outright win as a dog, and now laying points to a team that just lost outright as a favorite. Did I mention that BG was 0-75 SU all-time in the L20 years (before last week) when trailing in a game by 20+ points?
