The Blackhawks are off to an 0-3 start. However, they've been competitive in each of the three losses. They held their own on the road against the defending champs on opening night; the game was tied 2-2 into the third period with Florida eventually winning 3-2. Next up was an OT loss at Boston. Last game, which was their home opener, the Hawks were tied 2-2 with Montreal with less than a minute remaining. The Habs would break their hearts with a goal in the final 15 seconds. Three games, three tough losses. They're not going to lose every game though and this looks like a good spot for the Hawks' first victory. The Mammoth have also been playing very close games. The Hawks split the two games, at Chicago, against them last season. Chicago captain Nick Foligno noted this after Saturday's loss: “We did a lot of good things but didn't get the job done. It's that mentality, that little attitude snarl that we have to come back with.” I considered playing at +1.5 as that would significantly increase our chances but it was costly to do so and I like Foligno's team's chances of scoring the upset.
