THE PLAY: Immanuel Quickley (TOR) Over 17.5 Points vs Portland
Immanuel Quickley averaged 17 points per game in November, and will now face a Blazers' team that has allowed the most points per game to opposing point guards this season. Portland has been short-handed at the guard position in recent weeks as the Blazers deal with some injuries, namely to veteran point guard Jrue Holiday. The Blazers rank bottom-10 in defensive efficiency this season while running at the third-fastest pace. That should translate to additional shot attempts for Quickley as the Raptors desperately search for offense in the absence of RJ Barrett. Portland has given up the fifth-most fast-break points per game and the Raptors score the most fast-break points per game, so this should be a great spot for Quickley to stretch his legs in transition. Quickley has scored 22 and 19 points in the Raptors' last two games with Barrett on the sidelines, and we expect him to eclipse the 17.5 mark that odds makers have set on Tuesday morning.
