THE PLAY: Boston Red Sox -102 G Crochet (LHP), R Yarbrough (LHP) Must Start

Crochet is one of the best pitchers in the game. He willed the Red Sox to victory last time out. He's got a stellar 1.98 ERA through 13 starts. With 23 K's in his last two starts alone, he now has 101 through 82 innings. In his seven road starts, averaging nearly seven innings per, Crochet is 5-1 with a 1.69 ERA and 0.92 WHIP. Admittedly, since moving into the rotation, Yarbrough has also been pitching well. He's not in Crochet's class though and his 4.05 ERA at home is “nothing special.” Also, he has a dreadful 7.09 ERA in 20 career appearances vs. Boston, an even worse 7.68 ERA in the nine starts. Go with Crochet.

Many of this week's fights are expected to be pretty one-sided. There are some good O/U opportunities though. The light heavyweight belt between Brendson “The Gorilla” Ribeiro and Azamat “The Professional” Murzakanov may not last long. Murzakanov, a heavy favorite, is a 36-year old Russian with a 14-0 record. Off a second round KO victory, five of his last six wins have come by KO/TKO. Ribeiro is off a second round submission victory. Before that, six of his previous eight fights ended in the first round. Notably, three of Ribeiro's last four losses have been first round KO/TKO's. I'm expecting another first KO/TKO.
